White Sox Capture 2017 Major Championship!

The White Sox won the Beverly Little League Major Championship Wednesday night by beating the Giants 4-2.

The Giants struck first in the top of the first inning after loading the bases on a single and 2 walks. Casey Bellew scored on a passed ball for the first run of the game. After that, the runs were hard to come by as Max Salerno overcame a shaky first inning by striking out 10 batters pitching 4 2/3 innings.

The White Sox struck right back in the bottom of the first. After Dylan Crowley and Ryan Dunleavy reached base, Ian Visnick hit a home run. The White Sox added another run on a triple by Bradley McAlpine and a throwing error. That would be the only runs the White Sox needed.

The Giants tried to comeback in the top of the sixth inning. Ryan Corcoran doubled to start the inning and moved to third on Devin Koloski's ground out and then scored on an RBI ground out by Evan Pinciaro. After another single, Dylan Crowley was able to get the last out for the save.
