Cubs are the 2018 Major Champions

Thursday night, the Cubs won the Major division championship after going undefeated in the post season tournament. Lead by Ryder Frost, who pitched 5 innings of shutout ball, the Cubs edged out the Yankees in a close game 2-0.

The game was scoreless through 3 innings as Anthony Mastroianni matched Ryder, shutting down the Cubs until Jonah Bellew came through with a 2-run single with 2 outs in the bottom of the fourth to break the stalemate. With 2 outs in the inning, the Cubs were able to load the bases on an error, a walk and a hit batter before Jonah hit a 2-1 pitch for a single that dropped in front of the right fielder.

The Yankees threatened in the top of the fifth, getting their first two batters on. But Ryder then struck out the next three batters to end the threat.

Congratulations to the team: Cody Belanger, Jonah Bellew, Nicholas Beurekjian, William Blank, Tye Chakoutis, Eddie Colpoys, Ryder Frost, Gavin Gold, Joshua Keohane-Gallant, Brian Kessel, Francis Martin, Benjamin Watzke.  Manager Brady Frost and Coaches Jay Bellew, Lucien Belanger, Jesse Blank and Dana Kessel
