Beverly Little League Community,

The Board is beginning preparations for the Beverly Little League (“BLL”) annual membership meeting to be held on September 21, 2020 beginning at 6:30pm. This meeting will be held electronically due to the current local and state restrictions on the size of gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic. More information related to the meeting will be sent/posted to the BLL website by Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Under the BLL constitution and Little League International (“LLI”) regulations, all nine (9) Board positions are open for election, each currently for a term of one year with term limits.  Candidates eligible for possible election to the Board will be voted on by the BLL membership at the annual meeting.  Once nine members have been elected, based upon the highest vote count of those in attendance or via appropriate absentee ballot, those nine members will meet and elect each position of the Board including all officers.  For more details of the annual meeting and Board service, please see the BLL constitution and BLL corporate bylaws on our website.  Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution details those who are eligible to vote at the annual meeting, and to be elected to the Board.

Any league member that is eligible for a Board position can send along their name and any other relevant information to the nominating committee at [email protected] no later Friday, September 18, 2020. The nominating committee will review all submissions prior to passing along information to the Board. The nominating committee is comprised of two current parents and two former parents.  Candidates approved by the nominating committee will be eligible for election to the Board by the vote of the BLL membership through the process described above.
